Key Summary: BlockyBoo does not require user registration, accounts, names, phone numbers, or GPS location. Gameplay data (such as your personal high score) is stored locally on your device. We use certified Google AdMob and Google Play Services to provide non-intrusive ads and optional rewarded power-ups. All data transmission uses industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption.

1. Overview & Data Controller

This Privacy Policy explains how Gourav Choudhury ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"), as the developer and publisher of BlockyBoo: Block Drop Puzzle (Package Name: com.blockyboo), collects, uses, and safeguards information when you download, install, and play BlockyBoo via the Google Play Store.

By installing and using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not install or use the Application.

2. Information We Collect and Process

We adhere strictly to data minimization principles. We do not collect direct personal identifiers such as your legal name, physical address, email address, contacts, microphone, camera, or precise geolocation.

A. Information Handled Locally on Your Device

  • High Score & Game State: Your highest score, sound preferences, and game progression are stored locally on your device via Android local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device unless backed up by your operating system.

B. Automatically Collected Technical Data via Third-Party SDKs

When connected to the internet, our integrated third-party service providers (principally Google AdMob and Google Play Services) may automatically process non-sensitive technical identifiers, including:

  • Device Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (AAID), unique device tokens, and IP address (processed for ad serving, fraud prevention, and coarse geographic regional routing at city/country level).
  • Device & Hardware Specs: Device model, manufacturer, operating system version (e.g. Android 13/14/15), screen resolution, device language, and network operator.
  • Diagnostic & Performance Metrics: App crashes, load times, ANR (Application Not Responding) reports, and SDK initialization diagnostics to ensure app stability.
  • Ad Interaction Data: Impressions, click events, ad format views (banner, interstitial, rewarded video), and ad completion timestamps to grant in-game power-up rewards.

3. Google AdMob & Third-Party Advertising Policy

BlockyBoo is a free-to-play mobile game supported by advertising through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK).

The Application incorporates three distinct AdMob formats:

  1. Banner Ads: Displayed unobtrusively at the base of the screen during active gameplay.
  2. Interstitial Ads: Full-screen advertisements displayed at natural pauses (such as when a player chooses to earn 1 random power-up).
  3. Rewarded Video Ads: User-initiated opt-in advertisements. Watching a rewarded video unlocks all 4 tactical in-game power-ups (Hammer, Line Clear, Tray Swap, Mega Bomb). These ads only play when you explicitly tap to watch them.

Google AdMob complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policy. Depending on your jurisdiction and device consent settings:

  • Personalized Ads: Ads targeted based on your previous browsing history or app usage using your Google Advertising ID.
  • Non-Personalized Ads: Ads served based only on contextual parameters (such as the app category or approximate country/region) without building a behavioral user profile.

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For serving personalized advertisements and accessing device advertising identifiers where required by law. You may withdraw consent at any time via your device settings.

6. User Rights, Controls & Data Deletion

Because BlockyBoo does not store personal user accounts, any data requests concerning advertising identifiers should be directed to our support contact below or addressed directly via Google's privacy dashboard.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Google Play Families Policy)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are entitled to specific disclosures:

  • We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
  • Third-party ad networks (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising (referred to as "sharing" under CPRA). You may opt out of sharing by disabling personalized ads in your Android device settings.
  • We do not discriminate against any user for exercising their CCPA/CPRA rights.

9. Data Security & Retention

All communications between the Application and Google servers are encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2/1.3) protocols. Data processed by Google AdMob is retained in accordance with Google's data retention policies (typically anonymized or aggregated within 9 to 18 months).

10. Changes & Contact Information

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, app updates, or legal obligations. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of BlockyBoo following any modifications signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
